Beauty Around The World: Texas Forever. ʊ

As a Texas girl, born & mostly raised here.. I thought I'd do makeup inspired by what screams Texas! to me. Where I live, it's not unusual to be loved by anyone see people wearing cowboy boots, hats, & big ole buckles, driving around big pick up trucks. Stuck in traffic, behind a trailer with cows or horses. We have our big cities with beautiful skylines too, of course! But I'd like to focus on the rural part, for this post. It's a lot more near & dear to my heart, & it's what reminds me of this place. I hope you enjoy it! ♥ By the way, super cool points if you know where the title of this post is from! I was obsessed with that! lol

Eyes   South Padre Waters.
UD Narcotic • MAC Blue Brown • UD Electric: I'm from the Valley & the one good thing we have is, South Padre Island! The East-Southern East part of Texas wraps around the Gulf of Mexico which makes for some awesome Texas beaches, but also for some scary Hurricanes! Lol.  I wanted to do something like color blocking, since it's been really popular for awhile now & I've never really dabbled in it. But I ended up with this instead!  When I first thought of doing this, I knew I had to incorporate the Blue Brown pigment somewhere. For some reason, it reminds me of rust & brown leather. Both things remind me of the country part of Texas. The matte blue is the gulf! Now, these Urban Decay matte shadows are awesome! Here's a tip: To get a really awesome punch of color out of any eyeshadow or pigment, apply it wet! Dip your brush in some water, squeeze off the excess.. so that it's just a bit damp & apply your shadow that way. It's great for making lower quality shadows, with not so much color payoff, really stand out. It's also an awesome technique to use with pigments. It's one of the best ways to get the most out of your shadows. (Note: I also used the I♥Matte palette to darken up the outer eye & the Lust palette for my highlight.)

Lips   Southern Belle Kiss.
MAC Innocence Beware: I wore this nude color to draw more attention to the eyes. You can tell, this nude, is more of a pink nude than it is a brown nude. It's really pretty. In the pictures, I'm wearing the lipstick alone but I do prefer using a clear or a slightly pink tinted gloss over it. The reason being that in certain lighting, it does tend to look like concealer on my lips. ¡No bueno!

Nails   Belt Buckle Gold.
Gold Chunky Glitter & Clear Nail Polish: Omg this was so easy, I can't believe I hadn't done it sooner. All I did was apply a clear coat of nailpolish, then dipped my finger into the glitter jar & tapped off the excess. It helps if you tap your nails on a table/desk/flat surface to get all the loose glitter off. Then put more polish if there are any areas where you can still see the nail & then re-dip & tap off the excess all over again. When your nails are glittered up to your liking, just take the clear polish & go over your nails again. You'll need about 2-3 top coats. Just enough so that, the glitter stays on the nail. Use a clear polish, you don't too much care for, because little glitter specs will stick to the brush. Super easy & bling galore!! It was like I had diamonds on my fingas. Super pretty! I'll be doing this with different glitter colors for funsies.

This post has been sitting pretty in my drafts for a min. Lol I thought I'd finish it & post it already. Some of you have probably already seen this look or the nails from my FB or Instagram . Which is so much fun, by the way!! I mean twitter's cool but on Instagram people seem to share .e v e r y t h i n g ! Which is awesome & kind of weird.. Lol jk! I just started maybe two weeks ago, so if you're on Ig, feel free to follow me! I almost always follow back .. unless you're a straight guy! Those get blocked. >.< Lol Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend & to all the Mamis, have a wonderful Mother's Day!! xOxO

Beauty Around The World: Paris♥

Who doesn't wish they were in The City of Love right about now! lol I've never been to the other side of the pond, but if I ever go someday.. I'd love to visit Paris. It's rich with style, history, & beautiful architecture. It's also one of the most expensive cities in the world.. but more importantly, (to me anyway) it's one of the most romantic cities in the world. I know there's more to Paris, than the Eiffel Tower, but  it's one of the first things I think about when Paris comes to mind.

Eyes Parisian Lights.

[Sedona Lace Palette 88 Matte Palette] Refer to the image above to see the colors I used, and where I placed them.
[Pink/Light Purple Glitter] Applied under the inner lower lash line over a bit of clear lash glue. It's clearly not the safest thing to put anywhere near your eyes lol but I couldn't resist. I wanted to incorporate the city lights. I easily removed the glitter with a makeup remover wipe, right after pics.
[Angelic Wink - Catty Maria Lashes] I found these in a little novelty store recently & gawsh they're beautiful! They're so full & super soft. I went back a couple days later to stock up even though, I'm not one to spend $4 on a pair of lashes. Call me loca! But sadly, there weren't anymore.

Lips Macaroon Pink.

[NYX Narcissus] I thought this pink was pretty perfect for this look! I wanted to keep the look pretty bright & far from ordinary. This super bright pink, surprises me every time I wear it. The formula's not the longest lasting & as you can tell it's kind of streaky but the color is just WOW.

Nails Metallic French Tips.

A twist to the typical french tip manicure. I'll admit, I wasn't too crazy about this mani. I tend top play it safe when it comes to nails, but this time I went a bit outside of what I normally do.. & change it scary to me. lol

[EBALAY Baby Pink Matte] This color is beautiful! The sticker on the bottom says "Rose Water". It's a beautiful light baby pink with a matte finish. I got full coverage after 2 coats.. which is pretty standard/good. Both these polishes were sent to me by KKCenterHK & you can find additional info on this pink matter one, here.
[X&D Nail Art Polish in Litchi] This is a nail art polish with a fine brush. Now, I'm used to using the $1-$2 nail art polishes from the drugstores. I always find the brushes a bit difficult to use, for some reason. So I always end up using my own art brushes. This brush though, is amazing. It has great hand line control & it's really precise. I'm crazy about the metallic color too! I can already tell I'll be using this one a lot. I hardly ever say this but this one is def. worth the price tag. The pink one though, I don't think so. lol Additional info on this polish here.

You can't see the whole art brush effect in my Paris nails, so I did some random zebra strokes here to show ya'll!

Hope you enjoyed the look! Thanks so much for stopping by & reading or even just looking at the pics. I appreciate it! Btw, I'm on Instagram now! Another way we can stalk each other! Yayy lol. Feel free to follow me! Have a great week, ya'll! xx
