 Hey ya'll!! I just wanted to post my favorite makeup pictures that I've done on instagram as of late. I wasn't very good at keeping track of what lashes I wore for each look :( so sorry! But I listed the lip colors & the palettes I used for each look! Hope you likey!

I'm Fifty Shades of Make-Up.

I had seen tons of posts on Instagram about this trilogy one day & then Wifezilla posted that she had gotten it too. I took it as a sign lol & looked for the books. I went through the first two in like 4 days lol. I started reading the third book..hmm maybe a week ago. But it's not as good as the second book was for me. So I put it down for awhile.  But here's my 50 Shades makeup look! I incorporated a lot of gray to represent Mr. Grey & just a little bit of Anastasia for the lips. I hope you enjoy the makeup! We aim to please. ♥

Smoldering Gray Eyes.

ELF Studio Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palette : In the book, Christian Grey's eyes are described in great detail.. "blazing, smoldering, gray eyes" are what I took away for inspiration. I've had this palette for too long & have rarely put it to use. I was looking for grays & picked up this palette because it seemed to have a good range of that color. I'm so glad I did! I loved the colors & although, the shadows are a bit chunky & not super easy to blend. I still really like them. It's very nice to be able to use one palette for an eye look. For my highlight though, I used Wet N Wild's I♥Matte palette. But that's just the highlight, so not bad right? Haha. The eyelashes are Glama Lashes in the style "xo".

[L] Prim Rose only [R] Fashion Scoop over Prim Rose

Revlon Prim Rose • MAC Fashion Scoop c/s glass : The eyes were all about Mr. Grey & the lips are all about Anastasia. She's young & innocent & bites her lip a lot? lol I wanted a soft baby pink color to show all those things. It's also not super obvious or bold. Anastasia's not the type to really wear makeup anyway. Which, by the way, was one of the most frustrating things for me about the book. The books are written from her point of view, & most of the time, I just could not relate to her & did some eye rolling of my own.

Playroom Studded Nails.

I continued the gray theme with the nails too. Can you believe I didn't have a gray polish? I have silvers but no grays. I used an old white nail polish & poured in a little bit of basic black nail polish. This is my end result! I really like the shade of gray I ended up with. I wanted to incorporate the playroom & the darker side of the book. Since I couldn't figure out how to add floggers to my nails lol I decided to stud them out. I think it gives them the edge, I was looking for.

Following Nymphette's October Calendar, yesterday's theme was Geishaaa! I knew I wanted to do it as soon as I saw it on the calendar. I started off doing a traditional one with the red lips. But then changed my mind & added some dino-flare to it lol.

ELF Studio Endless Eyes Pro Eyeshadow Palette

Jeez, the white face was such a pain. I didn't have face paint & wasn't really keen on going out to get some. So I just used my Cover Girl AquaSmoothers foundation (that I'm trying to finish) & a white matte eyeshadow. I neverrrr use this palette.. the pigmentation, or lack thereof bothers me. I have to crush the shadow & then use it.. to get some color on my brush. Well, after about half an hour & many muttered cuss words later, I got my face white. Haa. Then I added the color on my eyes & did a nifty-looking, thick, double-winged eyeliner.

NYX Shocking Pink Matte Lipstick • NYX Doll Pink Lipgloss

Lol my man was all critiquing me on the lips. "You did the line too thick.. it's supposed to be thinner" -____- Whatever, bro. I like it like this lol. I liked it more before the gloss though.

ELF Pink Passion Blush

I remind myself of Ehonda in this picture lol. I used Pink Passion pretty exaggeratedly on my cheeks. I wanted it to look really pink! By the time I finished it was dark out so I couldn't use natural lighting so I apologize. I hate how flash pictures (of me) look.

LA Colors Sea Siren

I love these LA Color polishes! They're like a dollar, I think? & They have some awesome colors. The only thing I don't like is the bottle shape lol but that's irrelevant. I got like three of these the other day & I love them all. The yellow flash in the pic makes it look weird. But it's such a pretty color. Promise!

Bright Eyed & Nostalgic

     I love these earrings! Lol I got them in my Dots Haul like forever ago! & I rediscovered them this week. Haa. I'm doing my two makeup challenge questions today but I really wanted to show my MUOTD. It was a slow, lazy Sunday & didn't really do much except watch pre-recordings of last week's Casey Anthony Trial on HLN. Btw, are any of y'all watching that trial? It's straight crackkk. I can't stop watching it. I can't help but feel sorry for that poor little girl (Caylee). I really think the mother did it, alone. Smh. I can't even look at that lady without feeling anger.
     Honestly, I've been watching a lot of HLN lately. It's like the news with feelings. LOL that's how I described it to my brother. I haven't been glued to my regular MSNBC channel because as some of you might've found out, my favorite beloved Congressman Anthony Weiner has been exposed in a sex scandal. -___- I'm so freaking disappointed & have been so depressed lol. So to avoid getting upset/mad, I haven't been watching any news/political channels. He's a really great congressman & I was so annoyed to find out that he was such a stand up guy in his political views but not in his personal life. Some people might say his personal life doesn't matter but I guess I just had high expectations from him, as a person. Arrggghh.

WnW Greed Palette & ELF BeautyBook [Bright Eye Edition]

I kept today's makeup pretty "simple". Haha Well as simple as it gets with me ( I wear tons of makeup). I just used the first color in the ELF beauty book all over the lid & up as the highlight. I used some of the matte black in the Greed palette on the outer crease. I left a black line on the very end of the eye because I like how it looks when my eyes are open. It gives the eye a more obvious dimension than if it was blended. Anywho! I also made a little bit of an exaggerated outer lower lash line. I find that it makes my eyes look a little bigger. *awesome* I then added KKCenter HK lashes. I used ES A500 ( the very first ones). I swear I've reused this pair to death. Lol they're my favorite pair.

Sinful Colors - Why Not? • ELF Matte Finisher Nail Polish

Ever since I saw this picture on weheartit.com, I've been wanting a matte-ifying top coat to re-create the thumb in that picture. It looks so pretty!! My only problem now is my back nail polish is MIA! I can't for the life of me, find it anywhere! I know I haven't seen it in months, so I may have thrown it out or left it at someone's house. (It happens more often than you think lol) I'll just have to get another one. Booo. But anyway!! This Elf polish is really cool! I've seen that it looks awesome with dark purple nails too. Ahhh the possibilities are endlessssss!

ELF Haul+First Impressions

Haii phrands. I recently ordered some things from Elf online. I picked up some palettes, a zit zapper!! (I was super interested in when I saw it on Msodapop's blog) I also got a blush, a colorstick, a coverstick concealer & some lipsticks. I really liked the Nostalgic lipstick & when I saw it  swatched on ♥♥BeautyyMonsterr♥♥'s blog & was so glad I had ordered it. :3 I also got the matte-ifying nail polish. It makes any nail polish matte & I'll get more into it in another post. But I'm really loving it.

 

 ELF BeautyBook [Bright Eye Edition] : LOVE this beauty book. The colors in the second row are extremely great dupes for some of UD's Naked Palette. The second color in the second row is almost identical to Toasted. The gold color to the right of that one is comparable to Half Baked & the Chocolate brown to it's right, looks a lot like Hustle! I really like the quality of these eyeshadows & the crazy cheap price! The color pay off is amazing. This was probably the best thing I picked up from ELF in this haul. I also love how big the eyeshadows are!

 ELF Studio Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palette 32 Shadows [Limited Edition] : Another great palette I'm very pleased with. The original price is $10 but right now you can get it for $5 :-o Awesomee. The majority of the shadows in this one have some kind of shimmer. I only see one matte shadow & it's a reddish brown. The quality of the shadows on this palette is very nice. *thumbs up* I will admit even these Elf "studio" shadows don't really hold a candle to my WnW shadows.. but I digress. LOL It's still a great palette & I'm glad I got it.

ELF Studio Endless Eyes Pro Eyeshadow Palette 100 Shadows [Limited Edition] : Meh. From the 3 palettes I picked up from ELF this is the one I really wouldn't recommend. This palette has a mixture of shimmer & matte shadows. I love matte shadows & this palette has a decent amount, I'd say it's about 30-40% matte. It's advertised as "one of Oprah's favorites". But honestly, I don't see why. Some of the shadows are nicely pigmented but there's a lot of them that aren't. I was really looking forward to the oranges in this but those turned out to be the one's with the worst color payoff. ;[ It's not a bad palette for $10 & if you're looking for a decent beginner's shadow palette. But if you're fairly familiar with makeup & are looking for a great quality large eyeshadow palette like the BH or Sedona palettes at a cheaper price, this is not the palette for you. There's really nothing special about it. This is definitely one product I could've lived without.

ELF Studio Blush [Pink Passion] : I looooove this blush! The texture, the pigmentation, the application is all gorgeous. It goes on really smooth & is really easy to blend in. The color is a really bright Barbie pink & it's such gives the cheeks such a pretty pink color.

 All Over Coverstick [Apricot Beige Fair] & All Over Colorstick [Persimmon] : These are only $1 each so I don't know why I expected them to be bigger than they are, but I did. Lol Anyway! I really like the coverstick. I use it under my eyes & around my mouth & loveee it! It's really creamy I'm do glad the color suits me! I like my under eye to be a tad bit lighter than the rest of my face but I'm always afraid the fair-er concealers will be too pinkish for me but this color is awesome. It's for people with yellow-ish undertones. (me!) Lol I really liked it. Now the Colorstick on the right, is supposed to be like NARS The Multiple, for lips, eyes, & face. I found the colorstick to be kind hard to apply because it's so dry. It doesn't give off a lot of color, just shimmer. It's not really ideal for a blush or for the lips because it's just a bunch of shimmer. It also feels kind of sticky. I had seen Vintage Makeup (Love her reviews!) do a review on the Spotlight colorstick some months ago & was hoping the Persimmon color would be better but nooooooo. ;( I should've listened lol.

 Revlon Colorstay Foundation [150 Buff Chamois] : I picked this up at Walgreens. I had heard so much hoopla about this foundation & how great the coverage was so I had to try it. And I must say, I really like it! It feels a little heavier than my usual foundation [Covergirl Aqua Smoothers Makeup] <-- LOVE it! But I have noticed that the Colorstay lasts a lot longer than my Aqua Smoothers. I've noticed that the product dries pretty quickly so I do one area of my face first instead of dabbing dots of foundation all over my face like I usually do with liquid foundations. It's really great with coverage & definitely build-able but it will feel heavier on the face. In the picture above I put some foundation where I have a small mole & a light birthmark on my arm to show coverage. I really like it but on days I know I'm going to be outside a lot, I opt for my Aqua Smoothers.

ELF Lipstick Flirtatious & Nostalgic

ELF Lipstick Nostalgic [Nude] & Flirtatious [Pink] : Both of these "lipsticks" broke. I guess you get what you pay for =/ but still, the lipstick itself, the color, the texture, everything is amazing. The packaging is so ugly & cheap though. When I used them, the stick like.. wiggled. *cue dramatic music* Til it wiggled too much & broke. I really love the lipsticks though. I just wish they'd fix the packaging or maybe it's sooo smooth that it breaks easily? Idk but this is baloney lol

Sedona Lace 88 Eyeshadows [Matte Palette] : I actually won this baby on Facebook. Yayyy! I really like the palette. I actually thought it was bigger than it actually is though. But anyway, I was expecting all the shadows to be matte but it does have a few shimmer shadows in the mix [as shown in swatch pic above]. I really like the pigmentation & the sleek packaging of the actual palette. Really pretty.

 The length of the acutal palette is a bit shorter than the length of a dvd case. [Ha. As you can see.. My man & I love anything & everything JFK related] :3

Each shadow is about the size of a dime.

I'm looking forward to using all these awesome colors for ya'll :3
